Filling in some gaps in Ken Magson's Family Tree
from
David Barron (Ottawa)

Guess what? We're cousins... at least, you are my second cousin once removed, if you can figure that out. I've been researching my family for a while, and came across you and the website via Rae in new Zealand.

Allow me to fill in some gaps for you.

Your Great-Grandfather Reginald Silver Magson, was the younger brother of my maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Alice Magson.

Samuel Magson, born about 1799 in Coventry, was a ribbon weaver. He married Janet (or Jennet or Jeannette) Cheshire in 1823. Their children were Jeannette, and Jonathan Magson. Jonathan was born in 1824. He married someone, and had children Martha, Sam and Byron. He married again, in 1867, to Elizabeth Silver and they had children John, Walter, Janet, Jonathan W., Augustus, Elizabeth Alice, Ellen Maude, and Reginald Silver. I suspect some of them didn't survive infancy, since I only have later information on Walter, Janet, Augustus, Alice and Reg. Reginal Silver Magson married Ethel Mary Franklin, and they were both killed in a bombing raid in October 1941. I have lots of photos of Reg and Ethel and their children, as well as pictures of Augustus, Janet, their mother Elizabeth Silver Magson, and possibly a picture of Jonathan Magson, though I'm not positive. I also have lots of other Magson photos that I can't identify at all!
